Sea Day

Another day at sea.  Another hour of extra sleep?  Guess my body had a different plan.  I was wide awake at 5:00am this morning.  So I stayed in bed until it was time to get up and open the gym at 6:00am.  Megan and I had decided to sleep in this morning, no alarms were set…but my body had a different plan.  The gym was pretty full for that 6:00am opening but with the time difference everyone’s physical clocks are off.  I went out and enjoyed some fresh air after my work out again.  I chance to cool down, enjoy some water, watch the morning traffic through the pool deck, and a chance for Megan to sleep a little longer.  When I arrived home Megan was already awake and lounging in bed.  I to myself changed and ready for the day.  Complete with my San Francisco Forty Niners sweatshirt that I brought because today is game day…television reception pending.  We also sent out our laundry.  For those not familiar with how laundry service works for us, we get a carbon sheet and a laundry bag to send out an unlimited amount of laundry while we are on the ship.  Every item of clothing has to be documented on the sheet, I keep a copy of the sheet and off it goes to the laundry department.  It usually takes about two days for us to get back our items all cleaned, pressed and/or dry cleaned.  It definitely changed the way we packed this year as compared to the previous world cruise.  Megan and I headed off to the Pinnacle for breakfast and then to the Project Linus Group.  Megan put in her briefly at crocheting and then ran off for Mahjong.  After crochet time I came back to the cabin to help Megan with some homework.  She isn’t have tutoring today as Bonita honors the Sabbath on Saturday and does not do math tutoring on Saturday. Next stop deck two with my fingers crossed that we will get good enough wifi reception to allow us to watch the Forty Niners playoff game. As luck would have it about 5 minutes before game time the ship was able to get the game in and I got to watch the Niners win their game!!  Then it was back to the cabin to get ready for dinner.  This evening we ate in the Canaletto specialty restaurant which specializes in Italian food.  We had the opportunity to eat with Freddy and Bob.  Freddy is one of Valerie’s friends from the 2020 WC.  Freddy was a member of Valerie’s trivia team.  She and her husband are back on this cruise and it was wonderful catching up with them over a wonderful meal.  Tomorrow is Sunday and the ship will besotting a special Sunday brunch in the main dining room. Megan and I will skip breakfast tomorrow and go to that instead. We also made a decision to sleep in and try and get some lazy cuddle time. We’ll see how that goes. Hugs everyone!
