April 20th, 2023 Day 107 of 128

Sea Day

I am happy to say I woke up this morning feeling a lot more like myself again. I got a really long nights sleep and I didn’t wake up all night coughing. Megan and I slept in till about 10:30am this morning. We didn’t even make it to Project Linus. Gail was so sweet, she texted us and made sure we were o.k. We went and had brunch around 11:30am in the Lido after doing come tidying around the cabin. We sent laundry out and did a little organizing. It is hard to believe that we are only three weeks away from the end of this amazing trip. We still have much left to see and do. But the organizer in me wants to start packing, but there is no where to put packed suitcases in the cabin. So the will stay nestled under the bed for now. Megan went to tutoring at 12:30pm and I worked on my blog for a little while. We met at the Main stage around 1:00pm for a presentation by Holland America President Gus Antorcha. He is still on the ship and hosting a few events over the next couple of days post 150th anniversary celebration. He announced the itinerary for the 2025 World Cruise. For the first time ever Holland America in actually offering two World Cruises for 2025 and there are two itineraries passengers can choose from. He then opened the floor for a Q&A session. We listened till 4:30pm as passengers got to ask questions, voiced complaints and give compliments. I give the man huge kudos for making himself available to the guests like that. I don’t know that I would have been as graceful or as composed as he was, but he handled the entire session with professionalism and grace. Next, we headed home to get ready for dinner. We were lucky enough to get to host Spencer, the athletic director, at our table tonight for dinner. It is always nice to be able to interact with crew on a personal level over dinner. It was a relaxing day. I was happy to have had the opportunity to get the extra rest and take it easy today. I am feeling better and hope the healing continues. We have several ports in row beginning again tomorrow in Coppenhagen. We are looking forward to seeing some new and amazing places, taking pictures and sharing our adventures with you along the way.
