Sea Day 3 of 7
Good morning. Happy Sea Day. It was another up and running morning for me as I got up at 5:30am and snuck out so the room so I could go to the gym. I did the elliptical and the seating bike this morning and now think I probably shouldn’t have done the bike. After my workout I one home to wake up Megan and we headed to breakfast in the Pinnacle Grill. After breakfast I went to visit my friends at Project Linus and say good morning but I did not crochet with them today because I had a 10:00am appointment with the acupuncturist. He and I decided I went a little too hard too fast back to the gym so I am going to take a couple of days off again and rest my back. I don’t do “slow” very well and I thought I was pulling back, but obviously not enough. After my appointment I went home to rest a half an hour, the recommended wait time, so I could then go and soak in the hot tub for a bit. It was relaxing and I believe therapeutic as well. The rest of the afternoon I really didn’t do anything. I rested, relaxed, and just breathed. I watched the man clean the floor and windows in our cabin. I also had a chance to finish up my 6th project Linus blanket. I will turn it in tomorrow during our crochet time. At 4:00pm today we had a gathering in the Neptune lounge for all the ladies in the suites. There was a woman on the ship who desired to meet and get to know her neighbors better so she coordinated this event. By the end of the gathering, plans were already in the works for the next one. It was also dressy night tonight so we had fun getting dressed up for dinner. Megan has a new dress we bought for the cruise and she hadn’t had the opportunity to wear it yet, so tonight was the night. She got SO many compliments tonight on how cute she looked. We then went to dinner at 5:00pm in the main dining room. After dinner we cruised through the casino and I had a chance to figure out how the room key works in the machines just like a credit card. You can put any demonization into the machine as credits and it charges it right to your ship account. I made a $20 donation to the casino and Megan got a little taste of (watching) gambling. Next, we had another cocktail party sponsored by our amazing travel company Cruise Specialist. It was lovely catching up and seeing our friends and the cruise hosts and hostess that are on board. We haven’t yet had the opportunity to do any excursions with them yet, but that will happen later in the cruise. We headed home at the conclusion of the cocktail party. I was ready for sleep. We were greeting by our towel animal for the evening, a bird had taken flight inside our cabin. Megan went swimming again tonight with some of the other young ladies on the ship and they closed down the pool around 8:45pm. Tonight we set the clocks back yet another hour. We are now 14 hours ahead of California. It’s getting harder to communicate with people at home. I am having breakfast when they are getting ready for dinner. But you make it work. Those things that are of the most importance to you, you can always find or make the time for. Sending you our love and blessings from across the sea.
